Here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening across UC campus graduate and professional associations this past April:

Advocacy and Awareness:

• UC Davis: Students are making their voices heard! Public comments were delivered at an Assembly hearing for student-parents, and a letter is being drafted to Caltrans regarding their investment strategies and climate justice.
• UC Irvine: Lobby Corps had a productive trip to Sacramento, meeting with Assemblymember offices and advocating for the inclusion of UC campuses in AB 456, a bill focused on mental health hotlines.
• UC Riverside: Preparations are underway for a D.C. advocacy trip this month.

Student Life:

• UC Davis: Celebrate Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week with a variety of events, culminating in the ever-popular Picnic Day on April 20th!
• UC Irvine: AGS elections are in full swing, with VP elections following the selection of council members and president. Get ready to show your support!
• UC San Francisco: The long-awaited BayPass, replacing the MUNI Class Pass for students at no additional cost, launches April 15th.
• UC Riverside: Don’t miss out on the free grab-and-go bags and tote bag decorating during Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week!

Other Updates:

• UC Irvine: Lobby Corps is looking to collaborate with CSU Long Beach to advocate for an extension of the OCTA Community College Pass program.
• UC San Francisco: Applications for the GPSA elections close on April 7th, with voting happening mid-month.
