Do you want to get paid to make your voice heard and fight for grad student funding? UCGPC is hiring Student Advocates to power UC’s federal advocacy campaigns. Think collecting stories from fellow students, hosting campus events (yes, free pizza counts!), creating social content that actually matters, and joining forces with advocates across all UC campuses. You will spend about 4 hours a week amplifying what we all know: federal funding cuts hurt real people doing real research. Plus, you’ll get $800, build your advocacy skills, work directly with UC Communications, and know you’re part of something bigger than just one campus. If you’re tired of watching funding decisions happen to us instead of with us, this is your chance to do something about it while getting paid and padding your resume.
Please complete the form linked at the end of the document to apply for nomination.
To be eligible, candidates must be a currently enrolled student at a UC graduate or professional degree program for the entire term (January 1, 2026, to March 31, 2026) in good academic and student standing.
