- UCGPC supports a budget that ensures campuses do not reduce or eliminate research and employment opportunities for graduate students.
- UCGPC supports efforts to increase student housing supply through the Higher Education Student Housing Grant Program and urges the legislature to prioritize and mandate the construction of affordable graduate and family housing as well.
- UCPGC urges the legislature to offset reductions in federal hunger assistance, to support anti-hunger initiatives and reduce food insecurity on campuses.
- California will face a $1.4 billion loss in federal funding after Congress passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill”, which scaled back federal support for health care and food assistance programs for low-income people.
